Spent some time in Tubac, Arizona last summer. Crystal clear skies at night made star trails exceptionally easy.
Tubac is located about 20 minutes north of the border and is south of the govt checkpoints. The town is full of retirees and artists. Dirt streets are lined with art galleries and restaurants. My favorite was the Tubac Old World Imports – rugs and artifacts from around the world. Timeless.
