I went out on a shoe-tree shooting excursion tonight on highway 395 just north of Reno.
It ended up that I caught the milky way in my star trails, and I knew this was going to happen… and normally people welcome it… but it wrecked my stacked image set.
Bummer. Didn’t see that one coming, well, the wrecking part that is.
I shot about a 40 minute set of images @ 30 sec each, then processed them in post. The milky way looks like a cloud in the image, that’s just how bright it was out there…
and only about 20 min from Reno.
