fort churchill + light painting

I ventured out to Fort Churchill recently to do some light painting on the old ruins…

The original plan was to also capture some star trails too but the clouds rolled in and thwarted that effort.

So here you have it… generally about a 3 minute exposure and I ran around during that time with a flash light and fist full of gels lighting up different aspects of the structure.

I was in camera-nerd heaven geeking out on the possibilities of light configurations.

This one would have been awesome if I could have overlaid it with star trails.  Live & learn… to not trust the weather man.
